The Tanach reveals the identity of the Messiah in unmistakable terms.
There can be no uncertainty when the Scriptures are received and studied
seriously and with reverence. God has set down a clear profile of Messiah in
His holy Word so that His chosen people should recognize His coming and
confidently welcome Him as their Lord and Saviour. There have certainly been many pretenders throughout
the ages; but in the light of Scripture, every falsehood is exposed. There can
only be one true Messiah from God.
The following is a short list of select messianic prophecies found in the Tanach. Accompanying
each prophecy is the correlating fulfillment. These fulfillments clearly reveal
that the identity of Messiah is Yeshua of Nazareth. Of course, you must examine
the evidence for yourself. However, as believers in Yeshua, we feel that the
testimony of the Tanach is unambiguous when taken as a whole. Yeshua Himself,
beginning at Moses and all the Prophets, expounded to His followers in all the
Scriptures the things concerning Himself. Pray that God would grant you clarity
and understanding as you study the messianic prophecies.
